Effective sorting out tasks using the Eisenhower Matrix.

matritsa_eizenhaueraIt is believed that American President Dwight Eisenhower, analyzing his to-do list, came to the conclusion that important things are almost never urgent, and urgent ones are important. The feeling of the importance of urgent matters is usually caused by poor planning and procrastination when they are simply “burning.”

Eisenhower created a simple matrix that makes it easy to sort things into important and unimportant, urgent and not urgent.

The principle of sorting. Important and urgent things should be done immediately if possible; important but very urgent things should be planned on a schedule and done; these are strategic tasks. Not important, but urgent - it is advisable to delegate to other people. And finally, it’s not important and not urgent -  postpone for a while, after all the important things have been done.

This matrix should be applied to your to-do list before implementing them, or in general to all incoming tasks.

This way your actions will be much more effective and you will be less likely to experience stress from the accumulated important things that are already “burning.”
