Evidence of the effectiveness of online consultations with a psychotherapist.

dokazatelstva_effectivnosti_onlain_terapii.

In the “pre-Internet” time, there was a belief both in the psychotherapeutic and medical communities, but there is only one effective way to communicate with a client - face-to-face.

But with the advent of the World Wide Web, this previously unshakable belief was called into question.

Although the majority of ordinary people living in the territory  former USSR believe that medicine abroad is completely problem-free, this, to put it mildly, is greatly exaggerated. In fact, there are queues and a problem with the availability of specialists.  It is not at all uncommon for a situation where there is not a single psychologist or psychotherapist within a radius of a couple of tens of miles.

What can't be said  about the availability of the Internet - it is in every home, even in villages. People actively use various programs for communication - Skype, FaceTime, Facebook, WhatsApp, Viber итп.

And even more so, almost everyone has an email – like a home address. The avalanche-like growth of online commerce has led to the fact that people are accustomed to buying on the Internet, and now understand the convenience and savings when ordering goods and services online.

Obviously, the question became, is it possible to solve your psychological problems also on the Internet, so as not to waste extra money and time? How effective can this be?  If there is a question, there is an answer!  So psychologists and psychotherapists began to help  to people online. So to speak, technology has become the guardian of mental health)).

Since consumer protection works in the West much more powerfully than in our country, they immediately began to conduct research on how effective this method is.

Below you will find links to these studies, and you can read them yourself.

1.  Telepsychiatry (online consultations and follow-up) is as effective as face-to-face consultations. Moreover, it is 10% cheaper (data from a Canadian study). A study by the University of Zurich to the surprise of researchers, revealed that in fact online consultations are, although slightly, even superior to face-to-face consultations in terms of effectiveness.

2. Therapy for depression using online cognitive behavioral psychotherapy is more effective (remission   42%) than face-to-face (remission 24%). A Swedish study found that there is no significant difference between face-to-face and online psychotherapy for depression.

3.  Cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy has shown effectiveness in online work with PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder). The effect of therapy persists after its completion, and improvement continues even without meetings with a specialist for a significant time after therapy.

4.     A four-year study in the United States (98,609 people) found that the percentage of repeat visits for psychosomatic problems decreased by 24.2% over this period. The time of hospital stay decreased by 26.6%.

5.   The researchers also were 72 were analyzed, in which they proved the effectiveness of working with  people with psychological problems  online. The study recognizes that the data described in the studies is of sufficient quality, which indicates the reliability of the conclusions in these studies.

Therefore, now in the scientific world in the West, online consultations are recognized on a par with face-to-face consultations, and are very widely used with confidence in the quality of the results obtained.

Yes, I myself see from the reviews of my clients that online consultations are a very effective method of work.  For me, there is no better proof than the gratitude of clients and their results.

You can read reviews on the website. The majority (approximately 90%) of all my clients realized that online consultations save time and money significantly, while providing flexibility in scheduling consultations and efficiency that are hardly possible with face-to-face consultations, and therefore chose this particular communication tool.

Try online counseling, psychotherapy or coaching. The initial consultation is completely free. Perhaps you too will see these advantages and be able to take full advantage of them.

Take action and you will succeed!
