When you have a headache, nausea, back pain, or something else, and the therapist says after the examination that he sees no abnormalities - then it is probably psychosomatic reaction. That is, the connection between our thoughts, feelings and what happens in our body due to stress, resentment, fear.

Here are some useful techniques to help you listen to your body and begin to control your emotions.

1. Stopping aggression

When strong emotions of conflict cloud the mind, it is difficult to work effectively, so it is useful to learn to control this emotion. When under stress, breathing is usually chest breathing - this is what maintains the tone of the muscles necessary for an attack, but the baby is safe - he breathes from the stomach. Therefore, to stop the tide of aggression, fill your stomach and then your chest with air. The breath should be deep. And exhale in reverse order. You will see how relaxation comes to you.

2. Transition to calm

If it’s hard for you to calm down quickly, try screaming, swearing and clenching your fists and jaws while taking a step forward, and taking a step back - relax, paying attention to your muscles.

3.  Internal concentration

When you need to do something, but you are limited (in the subway, in a traffic jam, in an elevator) you can imagine a beam of light that penetrates you from the top of your head to your feet through your entire body . As the beam moves, imagine how your wrinkles are smoothed out, fatigue goes away, and you begin to smile.

4. Immerse yourself in the body

It is not always possible to understand the emotions that “walk” inside us at the end of the day. They remain in our body, and to calm down we need to lie down, relax and feel our body. Where is the pain, where is the tension, where is the fatigue?

5.  Release of emotions

You've probably seen how babies "kick" while lying on their back, which means it won't be difficult for you to reproduce this. Such movements should be made with a cry of “no!”, “why?”. This is how you experience suppressed feelings.

6. Peace

Close your eyes, calm down and feel how warmth appears in the corners of your lips, they fill with it and spread uncontrollably. The purpose of this Taoist Smiling Buddha technique is to enter a state of peace.

7. Letter to your body

Write in a letter what you think about your body and how you feel about it, your plans for changing your body. Then move to another place and write a response to this letter on behalf of your body. You will discover a lot about how you really feel about yourself.

8. Voice from the stomach

When we are filled with strong emotions, we want to scream or cry. You can feel your body by producing sound, but not just through the ligaments, but through the chest. belly, thighs, ankles. You can help yourself with your hands. The great singer Chaliapin said that even his feet hurt after difficult concerts. If you learn how to do this exercise properly, you will be able to banish pain and relieve tension.

9. Dance of body parts.

You need to move your head, stomach, arms, legs, and shoulders separately in the dance. You can determine which part of the body danced the least. If there are problems with how quickly you make decisions, then it will be your head. If your hips mean problems in sex, knees – you want to move forward.

Of course, these exercises only play a preventive role and help you get to know yourself better. If you have an old psychosomatic problem, turn to psychotherapy. The initial conversation with a psychotherapist is always free.

Alternatively, you can take advantage of online consultations. As practice shows, they are no less effective than face-to-face.

Take action and you will succeed!
