“I suffer so that my grandchildren and children can be happy,” answered the poor fellow. - My great-grandfather doomed himself to hard work for the sake of his grandfather, my grandfather - for the sake of my father, my father - for my sake, and I will suffer for the sake of the happiness of my children.
— Was anyone in your family happy? — the wise interlocutor asked.
— Not yet, but the children and grandchildren will certainly be happy! — the man exclaimed dreamily.
— Unfortunately, an illiterate person cannot teach to read, and a mole will never educate an eagle! - the old wise man sighed. “First you need to learn to be happy yourself, only then can you teach your children happiness.” This will be your most valuable gift.
